Today was an interesting day....

  • 7:45 AM- Dylan is on the bar stool (naked 'cause we are potty training) and I look over and see a water spout of pee erupting and spraying Cheyenne who is on the floor in the kitchen. Hence 'training'.
  • 8:15 AM- Dylan yells, "Mommy, I have to go potty." and runs to the potty for a #1 and #2. Half of each hit the floor, and the rest in the pot. (minor success, rewarded by chocoloate in true 'Wagner/Hayward' style)
  • 9:00AM- Went to Publix on the way to take Dylan to school. He shared (aka jammed) half of his cookie in LaLa's mouth. He yelled, "Hi Lady" at all of the old ladies in the store. One sees him with a cookie and says, "What do you have?". Dylan says, "A cookie because I pee-peed on the potty and on Cheyenne". The poor lady probably thought Cheyenne was his sister's name.
  • 9:30 AM- Dylan dropped at school.
  • 1:00 PM- Olivia pulled herself up into standing position for the first time. (8.5 months old)
  • 5:00 PM- Pick up Dylan from school and get the following report:

"Dylan is really hyper. He runs around all day long, hits and spits on his friends. He laughs but they cry....they think he is serious....but, he isn't! Oh, and he pee-peed on the potty"

  • 5:30 PM- Dylan jumps off the couch repeatedly making Olivia laugh so hard she loses her breath.
  • 7:00 PM- LaLa down, Dylan to go.
  • 7:30 PM- Dylan bath with Daddy.
  • 8:00 PM- Dylan book with Daddy..learning animals like chinchilla, ferret, leopard, etc.
  • 8:15 PM- Dylan down for the count. Mom on the blog.
  • I'm sure, based on past experiences, that we'll see Dylan again tonight....say, around 2AM.

this little post is the perfect example of how extreme motherhood is. love....hate, angry...happy, stressed...than laughing, wanting to ring their little necks....wanting to kiss and squeeze them.

It really is insanity that we live. That is why I choose to self-medicate:)
