it's safety week at Dylan's preschool, and on the agenda is how to dial 911....you can only imagine how completely uncomfortable this makes me. Sure, i've read the stories about the robbers breaking in and the kids calling 911 to save the whole family. But, I was willing to take the risk and NEVER teach him that 911 was an option. Looks like I'm in the clear anyway (see below):
Me: 'Dylan, how was school what did you learn about safety?'
Dylan: 'Bad guys have guns'
Me: 'There are no bad guys'
Dylan: 'Yes, there are...especially if you call 116'
Me: 'What is 116?'
Dylan: 'I sink, you can only call that if there are fires. Then the bad guys will come with their guns and you can beat them up'
Clearly, we are WAY confused here in the Elder household. Time for Mommy to dig in and clear this up. Looks like we will be learning to effectively use 116...errrr, 911.
