VPK graduate!

It's hard to believe that the pleasant surprise we fondly call Olivia will be entering Kindergarten in the fall.  This little, no-nonsense, giant attitude, supremo smarty pants girl is about to unleash her presence onto the world.  If you ask her at any point in her day, 'What is the best part about you?'...she will answer (thank you brainwashing techniques), "My Brain!".  And, nothing could be more true.  Her pursed lips are gorgeous, her eyes are stunning, and her brain is crazy-smart-observant.  I am bragging a bit, but mostly because I am scared of how this little two-ton brain will impact me in a few years :)

Okay, onto it.  Olivia started VPK at Kiddie Academy.  This is a great place, in fact, it's where Dylan attended VPK before starting Kindergarten.  I tried like crazy to get her into Dylan's school, but we were on the waiting list.  After 2 weeks, we had a spot.  Sure, I maybe called Miss Vielka at the VPK office everyday for 2 weeks, but it worked!  Olivia finally was admitted to Virgil Mills Elementary with Miss Gardner and Miss Dixon.  She really flourished socially.  Academically, she was so far ahead of the curriculum I don't believe she even knew it was a learning environment.

She made great friends like Katie, Keeley, Grace, Maysam, and a few boys...I love my little girl.  She is so beautiful inside and out.  I hope to preserve some of her heart amid the chaos in this world.  Congrats on graduation, Lady O!!  See you in Kindergarten :) IU

I just hunted down your blog. What a sweet read. I knew I'd find something I needed in a night I'm having trouble shutting down since my boy hits the Public Scool world tomorrow. I love O!!
