First recital!

I'm not sure if this will be the first of many recitals, or just the one and only...but, it's still worth documenting for prosperity sake.  I was a horrible mother and didn't get a picture of Olivia in her adorable costume!  Apparently, they change them after the performance before they are released back to the parents.  So, you will see her in her warm up dance outfit in all of the pictures.

Olivia really rocked it during her Space Jam dance.  She was the first one out on the dance floor, bursting from the spaceship.  Lead off the whole class routine with two forward rolls.  She smiled as big as the room in an auditorium that held hundreds of people.  She didn't even flinch, just smiled and shook her little hips, proud as could be of herself. 

Her brothers, Nana, Auntie Ash, Mom, and Dad all watched and cheered.  The show had about 40 acts, Olivia's group was #18.  I couldn't believe how well the boys focused on the show!  It was pretty cool.  In the end when Olivia came out, Dylan (who doesn't usually express his emotions toward her very well) ran up and excitedly said, "Olivia, your dance was the best.  And you were THE BEST on your team!"  She kissed him on the cheek (which also NEVER happens)...I was proud :) 

I hope that we get this little star in the spotlight again, and by the looks of her smile I think she agrees...it was FUN!
