Olivia has started attending a Mom's morning out program at the YMCA on Tuesday's and Thursday's. She LOVES IT! We call it her 'school', and she asks every night at bed if she is going to school the next day. We are at the YMCA almost everyday, so this routine is not too new to her. Just new teachers and a smaller group of kids her age. They have the cutest crafts, songs, and books. For the price you can not beat the student/teacher ratio, and the convenient location! She is a little doll with a mega-bossy attitude. Or, as Dylan calls her "Ms. Bossy Pants". She is the self-proclaimed mother of all children, and if anyone is picking on anyone she immediately (using physical intervention) corrects the situation. For example, if a kid A takes kid B's toy...she pushes kid A on the ground and returns the toy to its rightful owner. She is so smart, and speaks so well. We are working on writing her name, and she can almost write each of her 6 letters.
Grayson is almost walking, and (sadly) almost 1!!! He is so close to walking that if I don't publish this post by tonight, he may have already begun. He has really grown in his understanding of our words like 'night-night', 'eat', 'inky', 'car', etc. When I say any of those things, he knows which direction to quickly crawl. He even has a couple of his own sounds that are close to words. The cutest one right now is his version of "Hi!" when he sees someone new. It sounds a little more like "haaaaaa", but it is perfect. He also says "baa bye", "dada", and something that really resembles "thank you". I love this baby. He is so sweet and loving and happy to be alive. I hope that he knows how happy we are to have him in the group! Dylan specifically has a major crush on Grayson, more so than Olivia. I think Olivia sees him as more of a threat for her time in the spotlight, while Dylan just sees him as his little baby to watch out for and keep safe. I'm sure the dynamics will change 1000 times in the years to come.
