I tell the kids the proper names for their parts. I don't know if this is the best or right way to do it, but I feel like the younger the better with this type of stuff. They will figure it out anyway, and since it's not dirty I don't hide it. I have told them repeatedly the quote from above, "Boys have penises, girls have vaginas." Today I realized that Dylan doesn't listen to ANYTHING that I say. Even the good stuff. :) While listening to my iTunes with the kids, Dylan announced to the whole group, "Boys have penises, girls have bikinis." Coincidentally, this was while the California Girls song by Katy Perry was playing. Flashback to a few weeks ago when Dylan begged me to play the "Bikini song" by Katy Perry because it was "so coooool!". (I think there is a line in the song about girls wearing bikini's.) I thought he meant that he liked it because it was about cute, summer fun. Apparently, he thought it was about vaginas...I am concerned! Shouldn't this start when he is a teenager???

Going commando and his recent obsession with "bikini's"....sounds like John needs to have "the talk" with him 10 YEARS EARLY!!!
