I usually save my posts for the kids, but today I will dedicate a post to ME. In celebration of the big '30' John arranged for Grandma to come to town to watch the kids overnight, so that we could get out on the town. I thought we were meeting Cullen and Lisa for dinner, but it was far more than that (John is never to be underestimated)! When we got to the restaurant there were a few surprise guests (Mom, Ash, Leslie and Karl). We had drinks on a rooftop bar, a nice tapas dinner, and then went out to a bar/club till it closed. After that we caught a cab to our hotel and all stayed the night. It was perfect! The best part of the night was when Leslie and Lisa convinced an 80 year old single guy to drive us all to the bar after dinner. He had an empty minivan, and we had 7 people to fill it....made perfect sense! Some things (hopefully) will never change.
Despite being officially 30, I still feel like we all act like we are about 20. (Especially, when drinking and dancing are involved.)
