Potty Training?

Since Olivia was 18 months old she has told me when she pee-pees in her diaper, and now she will even tell me right before or during the act :) This tells me she is trainable, but I have had little success with landing her on the potty. Lately, I've let her streak around the house naked waiting for the pee pee moments....and, she can hold out for hours usually demanding a diaper or peeing on the floor next to the potty. Until yesterday, we had a first successful morning pee on the potty!!! It was a big deal. We were dancing and clapping. Dylan was the best cheerleader in the house, hugging her saying 'he was proud'.

We tried again this afternoon, and it resulted in poop on the carpet in the living room. Both kids were screaming 'YUCKY!!' and I could barely clean it without gagging.

Moral of the story, BACK TO DIAPERS! We'll try again in a month or so....sorry Olivia, if I had more energy when you are grown up you could have been able to brag about being potty trained before 2...but, i don't see that happening given my lack of commitment to chasing you around with a plastic potty and sani wipes. :)
