School days are the hardest

My days in the office (when both kids are in 'school') are the toughest. It seems like there is a mad sprint from my office at 5 until 9 PM when all babies are nestled in bed. Olivia is a MONSTER on these nights given the 1 nap (vs. 2 when with me) and overstimulation. The night usually goes something like this......

5:00 Leave the office
5:40 Pick up kids (whining most of car ride home)
6:00 Home
6:10 Both kids whining and screaming to eat and play outside
6:15 Turn on TV hoping they will watch for 10 min so that dinner can be made
6:45 Dinner ready (dylan screams about not wanting broccoli, or whatever vegetable on the plate. A stand off usually takes place. Olivia devours her dinner, which usually ends with a sippy cup forcefully thrown to the ground followed by her screaming, "ALL DONE!".)
7:00 RUSH Olivia to the bath, she has seen better days.
7:15 PJ's and Bed for Olivia
7:30 Daddy and Dylan time
8:00 Dylan bath and teeth
8:30 Dylan book (Dylan begs for 3,4,or 5 books...we try to stick with 2) and bed
9:00 Dylan has usually stopped with the excuses that lead to him getting up for "One more thing..." and is asleep
9:30 Mommy in bed

Fast forward.....
6:30 AM start it over again

I feel for you! If your house is anything like our...part of the time is spent with mommy getting irritated with daddy for not "helping" enough, or for not quitting his job and being a SAHD!!!:-) Know you are not alone. Hence, my new "short" day schedule (8:30am-2:30pm). Hugs, Jen Messal

You go girl and I HEAR YA! You are also pregnant, which takes a heck of a lot out of you including patience. Aaahh, come October, a new little Elder will be on the loose! LOVE IT!!!
