Dylan: Farewell Kindergarten!

I am in shock when I look at Dylan sometimes, and I realize that in the past year he:
(1) is now tall enough for me to rest my elbow on his shoulder
(2) has lost 6 teeth and has taken on that awkwardly, adorable gap-tooth-kid look
(3) can read anything and everything in sight (my text messages and emails not withstanding)
(4) can mitigate a squabble between Olivia and Grayson much more effectively than me!
(5) doesn't require a nap EVER, but collapses by 8:00 exactly every night (if we let him)

Kindergarten has been such a great experience for us all!  I have been so lucky to have been able to volunteer every Monday in Dylan's classroom.  It is funny to see his interactions with his classmates and teacher from my behind the scenes perspective.  He is the same active, energetic child that we see at home....just polished with his Kindergarten skills of hand-raising, line-waiting, and overall extra patience and understanding of others.  Dylan's teacher has taught me so much about children and managing the chaos of more than one child.  I will be forever thankful for our experiences with Mrs.Harrington (and will move heaven and earth to ensure that Olivia is placed in her classroom in 2 years)!
