Out with the old.... (part II)

For the past 2 months I have been looking for very specific bunk beds for the boys. I found them on Craigslist last Friday and sent John to buy them Saturday during nap time. They are awesome! $600 for a $2500 Pottery Barn bunk bed set with new mattresses. They need a little touch up, but look fantastic in the former nursery.....this led us to the next logical step. We had to post the baby furniture on Craigslist and get it out of here. I had so many emails from interested people in the first 3 days. It was crazy. Finally, I had a live bite for full price on Wednesday night. So, we did it. We parted with the ENTIRE nursery furniture set.

I would equate this to the loss of a close friend for me. It was so disturbing that I voluntarily took all 3 kids out of the house for a 6:30 dinner to a restaurant, leaving John behind to close the deal. That says A LOT! I loved that furniture for the whole 5 years that we had it, but I guess it is the memories that I loved the most. I thought it was so striking. It looked awesome with the boy colors, and even better with the girl motif. But, we are on to the next chapter of Elder redecoration (again).

I have to say that I have been selling all of this stuff on Craigslist. The longest Craigslist tenure was the 16 day air conditioning unit that we had for the dogs in the garage.

Look how upset Grayson is that we were selling the crib:
