I played a trick on you, Mom

Conversation with Dylan on Friday on our way to the pool in the evening after a long day:

Me: "Dylan, go and get the underwear and shorts that you just took off and bring them to me."

Dylan: "Why, Mom? We are going to the pool."

Me: "It's for later, after the pool. I want to have dry clothes for you to change into."

Dylan: "There's a problem, though. I played a trick on you today. When you asked me to dress myself for school earlier, I played a funny trick on you and didn't wear underwear to school."

I find this very funny. Especially because I had applauded how quickly he got dressed for school in the morning. No wonder it was fast...he skipped a major step.
