The other night, on a car ride to Publix Dylan absolutely cracked us up. John was telling a very animated story about work. He was waving his arms and probably sounded a little agitated. Dylan, from the back seat, chimed in saying..."Guys, guys, stop it, stop. No more yucky tone of voice. Stop talking to MY MOMMY like that." So we explained to him that we weren't fighting (that sounds bad, like we usually do..but we don't) we were just 'talking about work.'
On the ride home from Publix Dylan got very annoyed by me. He threatened some creative, pre-school induced threat like, "I'm going to spray water on you Mommy." (I know, unruly wild kid..right?) So, I told him not to use that tone of voice with me, and that he needed to apologize.
You can guess his reply, "I'm not being mean, Mom. I'm just talking about work. I can't be in trouble for that."
