Olivia Ashley turns One

Alright, I have to confess....because of the Christmas-time birthday I didn't plan a big party for your first birthday. I thought that I would keep this a secret, take some great pictures of you eating cupcakes with the family at Christmas, and you would never know. Then, you got sick....and so did Dylan. So the cupcake extravaganza turned into you and Dylan sharing a cupcake and then us spending the rest of the weekend taking care of our sick babies. Nonetheless, this is our toast to you Miss Olivia Ashley.

What a busy year this has been for us! I can't believe that 12 months has passed since the morning that beautiful Olivia became part of our family. Olivia is such a peaceful, joyful soul. Such a little personality.... She wakes up every morning with a smile, kicks her feet as fast as she can when you pick her up out of her crib, lights up the moment Dylan walks into the room, giggles contagiously when she touches Dylan's curls, cautiously pulls up and cruises along the furniture...but, seldomly falls, says "Hiiiiiiii", "Mama", "Baby", and "Daddeeee", makes a growling noise like a little monster and then laughs at herself, loves her "Inky" (just like Dylan), sucks her thumb, still takes 2 solid naps a day, goes completely insane and pretends to cry if you put her in the highchair and don't feed her immediately :)

We love you baby girl, and we look forward to watching you continue to grow.
