Back to the blog....

So, I have to admit I have done a poor job of updating our blog lately. In the past 2 weeks we have been very BUSY!!! We built a mulch play yard for "Dylan's Park", our good friends Denise, Jared, Aidan, and Austin came for a visit, we took a trip with the Snow's (D, J, A & A) to visit the Pabst family in Bonita Springs, and the rest is the usual business: work, play, kids, family and friends. See stories and pics below....

Stories:

  • "Hey Baby"- Today Dylan was in the high chair (aka LaLa's chair). This is not normal, as he now insists that he is too big for the chair (which he is). Back to the story....so, he ate his oatmeal and then chugged his milk (just like Ash) and then yelled to me, " Hey, let me down from the chair please, BABY"
  • "LaLaBee Sunshine"- It is weird, but Dylan has changed LaLa's name to LaLaBee. And his 'LaLaBee' has a mobile in her room that plays the song 'You Are My Sunshine'. Anyway, I have a kid CD in the car that plays 35+ songs of kiddie jingles...(which I am embarrassed to say I find myself singing along with even when the kids aren't in the car). The third song is 'You are my Sunshine'. Dylan DEMANDS this song everytime we load up by chanting 'LaLaBee Sunshine, LaLaBee Sunshine'. And, God forbid I try to sing along with him or I will be told to stop in the cutest little way, "No, Mommy my LaLaBee Sunshine." Invariably, everytime this happens I look back to glance and he is staring at Olivia trying his best to say every word of the song. It is the sweetest, most loving thing EVER!!!
  • "I Pooped"- We are starting the potty training fun, and for whatever reason Dylan has #1 and #2 confused. Last week he successfully pee-peed on the potty. Like a complete moron I started jumping up and down in the living room...because the books say to get excited. In my very rhythmic dancing I started singing about pee pee in the potty (in true Look Whose Talking style). Dylan started SCREAMING, "No Pee MOMMY!!! I POOPED!" There's no arguing with a passionate 2-year old, so I rested my case.

For those of us who live vicariously thru Dylan's hilarious antics, it's about time you updated your blog. My dear Courtney, you only have 2 kids...that makes you a part-time parent in my book! Lapses will no longer be tolerated. LOL love, auntie Jill
